Civil Registration Vital Statistics

In collaboration with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and colleagues at the Office for National Statistics, we built an R package that is able to take record level administrative data from civil regristations and produce summry vital statistics.

This project and the product developed is key in the reliable and trustworthy production of vital statistics essential for decisionmakers across a variety of countries. As part of this project, I learned how to deliver a data science product that is easy to pick up and implement whilst leading a team across organisations.
