About Me

I am Senior Data Scientist at the Office For National Statistics, within the UK Government. My work focuses on the application of Data Science for the public good.

My formal training is in economics, econometrics and finance. I also have working experience in the banking sector and have dedicated time to software development.

COMPLEX DATA

Throughout my professional career I have worked with a variety of complex datasets, including administrative and survey information. This has allowed me to build data science skills on huge data while adhering to security best practice.

ECONOMETRICS

Exposed to current research in areas including network econometrics and distributional analysis. I have also produced research that applies non-stationary time series.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

I have led medium sized developer teams as well as collaborated with a myriad of stakeholders, including teams within the organisation, other government departments and international bodies like the United Nations. Delivering key data science in a variety of landscapes whilst ensuring team efficiency.

SOFTWARE

Although my day-to-day expertise is in Python, I have experience with a variety of other languages. From Solidity smart contracts to Javascript webgames, I have had a broad exposure.
